Intergenerational Shabbaton Service and Program
Saturday, January 18, 2025 • 18 Tevet 5785
10:30 AM - 2:30 PMThe Intergenerational Shabbaton presents a multi-dimensional approach to Shabbat by combining a Saturday morning service conducted by both teenagers and adults with an open discussion.
Following the service and a light lunch, those in attendance will be divided into small groups and invited to engage in discussion. Each group will include a teen and an adult as the facilitators for the discussion. The groups will be provided with materials designed to encourage the discussion as well as a list of potential questions for discussion.
The objective of the discussions is to engage in a wide-ranging conversation and encourage the sharing of thoughts and concepts. It is hoped that there will be a diversity of opinions expressed. We are not seeking to reach hard conclusions or change minds. Rather the objective is to open minds to new and different ideas.
This event is free for members of Temple Sinai.
