The Intergenerational Shabbaton presents a multi-dimensional approach to Shabbat by combining a Saturday morning service conducted by both teenagers and adults with an open discussion. 

Following the service and a light lunch, those in attendance will be divided into small groups and invited to engage in discussion. Each group will include a teen and an adult as the facilitators for the discussion. The groups will be provided with materials designed to encourage the discussion as well as a list of potential questions for discussion.

The objective of the discussions is to engage in a wide-ranging conversation and encourage the sharing of thoughts and concepts. It is hoped that there will be a diversity of opinions expressed.  We are not seeking to reach hard conclusions or change minds. Rather the objective is to open minds to new and different ideas.
