The Jewish tradition teaches us that each child brings a unique blessing into the world and the first Jewish lifecycle ritual that a Jew will experience is typically one connected to birth.    

We at Temple Sinai join you in celebrating this simcha (“happy event”) in your family’s life and look forward to discovering who you child will become.  As you think about how to best give your child strong Jewish roots, we invite you to consider the following:

• Chazzan Abramson is available to officiate at a brit milah (Jewish circumcision) or a naming, at home and/or in the sanctuary.  Welcoming a new Jewish child into the world is a mitzvah that can be shared privately with close family and friends as well as publicly with the community.
• It is also a mitzvah to include a festive meal with Jewish celebration. Temple Sinai is able to accommodate a catered meal, a Kiddush lunch, a wine & cheese reception or an Oneg Shabbat in honor of your child.
• We invite parents and babies to join our Temple Tots group which is a great opportunity to get to know other parents of young children and to pick up parenting support and tips.
• Our Early Childhood Education programs include The Gan and additional activities for children ages 18 months – 5 years old.
• Though it may seem far in the future, keep in mind that the temple offers complimentary JQuest tuition for a kindergarten-aged child of members who graduate from The Gan at Temple Sinai.
